Bigtooth aspen seeds

How long can you store dry collected bigtooth aspen seeds in sealed bags?

I hear viability can be up to a year or as few as a couple weeks.

Re: Bigtooth aspen seeds

1 year. Best planted year of collection. Viability starts down hill immediately. That is for cleaned dry seed. No fluff. For seed to be mature-the catkins need to be opening and dispenses the fluff. The seed is about teh size of a grain of generic black pepper attached to teh fulff.
