No Till planting

I am new to the food plot discussion. Has anyone had any success with a no till food plot planting method? I do not own a ATV or tractor. The land that I have access to hunt and use for food plots does not have easy access for getting a tiller into. I can basically only get into the area with manual garden tools. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make food plots using a herbicide and raking in a seed mixture?
Thanks,

Re: No Till planting

I just rake the leaf litter away ammend the soil with the required ammount of lime and fertiliser.(per my soil test)Then just spread my seed.I usually plant buckwheat(the buckwheat wont get very tall but works wonders for poor soil) for my first plot by spreading the seed and raking in.Followed by a mix from the qdma forums.(The Lick creek Mix)I spray the buckwheat with roundup and broadcast the mix right into it.I just walk around the plot alot using my feet as a cultipacker.Works good!hope this helps, good luck and welcome to food plotting!
