fertilizer question

Question.. Just planted both of my plots and wondering what fertilizer to put down to jump start the plot once it starts growing? I did a soil test prior to planting and it was a 6.5 and i also sprayed antler king plot max... any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

6.5 tells you if you need lime. You should be ok with lime. 10-10-10 is general purpose fertilizer.

Can you share the soil test? There should be a fertilizer recommendation to get into a normal range. Also, how big is the plot?

This.

Also, what was in the mix you already sprayed?

The soil test I used was one of the cheap/basic ones from TSC.. pretty much just gave me the PH level. the plot is right around an acre.

2f6pt, I recently had soil samples done from WTI. I am in south central PA. They came back indicating 176 pounds of 34-0-0 per acre and 217 pounds per acre of 0-46-0. Since I was not able to get the stuff locally I finally got 8-24-8 and 46-0-0 from my local farm bureau store. My plot is doing well.

I always sent my soil samples to Penn State for testing...quick turn around....inexpensive. You can Google Penn State for info. They will recommend the amount of lime, fertilizer type and quantity your soil needs to produce your intended crop to give you your desired output.
