Our plot protected by electric fence
Two plots within sight of each other. One is protected the 2nd year of using the 3 wire Gallagher style fence. The electric fence doesn't keep them out but it keeps them out enough to get mature corn ears. I killed a buck over this plot last year on opening day of rifle. I had a little buck feeding in for half an hour before an older buck and some doe came out of the woods across the road. The older buck left the does and came on a beeline to fight the little guy in front of me. The year before, this plot did not get any corn ears.
The other plot is a a mix of corn and beans but no fence. It does not look like either has much of a chance of maturing although the deer are clearly enjoying it right now.
