I use soresto on my hounds. No fleas or ticks that stick around. I remove the collar when in the field hunting but put it back on as soon as we get back to the vehicle. I have seen ticks crawling on the dogs back when we leave the woods and on my bibs. By the time I get back to the vehicle to comb them out the ticks are gone. Comb them out take the tracking collar off and put the soresto collar back on and load up go home.

In six years of use I have only found one attached but dead tick between two hounds.

I also went on line and ordered them once because of price. Cans looked almost identical as did the collars. These came from the UK. Worked just as well as the ones purchased local.

Only issue I have with the soressto collar is when they are getting old and stiff they are harder to loosen and tighten back up especially in cold weather. Waugh!

AR is only a pacifier. You will never grow if it's not in your genes.

I have used Soresto and Salvo collars.. Good results with both. The Salvo's are half the price for 2 collars good for 6 months each.

Personally, I prefer the oral as my dogs are in and out of the water constantly the entire spring, summer and fall. The orals are not affected by water but the seresto collar and topicals are, to varying degrees.

We switched to Seresto collar last year for our new Brittany after years of using topicals. Best move we made, no ticks or fleas.
