Pork Belly

My wifeís coworker gave her a bag of pork belly yesterday and itís sitting in our freezer. Have zero experience with this . Any suggestions or recipes someone would like to recommend ? I have a masterbuilt electric smoker if that helps .
Thanks

here is one. cut up potatoes . cut up smoked sausage into bite sized pieces and onion. fry up sausage , mix with potatoes and onion. stuff it in thawed in and bake it. try it at 350 degrees and check often until done. make sure you wash the stomach well after thawing. before stuffing. hope you enjoy it.

I think this recipe ^ is for pig stomach, not belly. Also a great dish.

If you have the means, sear and sous vide it. If not, do something like this:

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/24...py-pork-belly/

And google around for a sauce that sounds delicious to you, if desired.

That crispy, fatty, succulence is one of my favorite things in the world. Pork belly BLTs are awesome, if you're in to that. If you want to use the smoker you could try making bacon. But the pork belly is so good and bacon is so available, I personally would cook it up crispy as an entree protein.

Pig stomach is the actual stomach, usually stuffed as you suggested. Known around here as hog maw and considered a delicacy in its own right. Pork belly is the fatty meat of the belly that is used to make bacon, and not cured or smoked. A good pork belly will be crispy on the outside with melt-in-your-mouth porkiness on the inside.

I had a burger last weekend with pork belly on it. They called it the PB2 burger: pork belly, peanut butter, strawberry/onion jelly. I expected it to be like bacon, but it was more like pulled pork. Could've used more peanut butter, but two thumbs up!
