Fresh Seafood Feast!!

Didn't plan to head to my Chincoteague VA place till early December but unexpected Thanksgiving weekend freeze sent me south to get some heat on and prepare my place for winter. Oh well, VS heading to my Sullivan County Camp for a rainy opener and high windy following days I manage to survive. Fresh Chincoteague Salt Oysters, fresh broiled grouper, local shrimp and a few crabs I caught. Tried a new Dexter-Russell New Haven Style Oyster Knife(below) to shuck oysters. Best shucking knife I ever used! Sounds like one or 2 deer survived Monday's Opener so heading to camp 2nd week.

Yep Whip dem raw oysters slide right down dipped in a lil horseradish/ketchup sauce. I mix it 80% horseradish/20% ketchup. The store cocktail sauce is ok but I like mine better!

Try mixing a dash or two of Worcestershire sauce and a little lemon juice with the ketchup and horseradish.

Thanks Steve!! Bet conditions were pretty tough up in Sully last 2 days. Best of luck down in Deerfield. Look forward to your hunt report.
