My mom is known for these and they never get put away once a jar is opened. It's really simple too. The mix is 1 cup of water, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup sugar. This mixture is heated on a stove until the sugar is dissolved. She said she tastes it then and adds more sugar sometimes if she wants it sweeter. Then you stuff the peppers with saurkraut and fill a jar with the stuffed peppers. Next just fill the jar covering the peppers with the liquid and put the lids on. Can for 10 minutes for pints and 15 minutes for quarts.
