What a perfect day for a smoke

Well, the first cook on my newly updated rig is underway. Butts now, chickens and ribs later. Cross your fingers everything goes as planned.

That's a nice set up you got there. I can almost smell that pork.

2 of the 3 butts turned out good, third is taking forever(had to crutch it). Chicken and ribs now.

Re: What a perfect day for a smoke

Whew, a day of tending fires really takes it outta ya. There isn't anything on this earth like good pulled pork, or my new favorite food... I tossed some brats on toward the end just to see how they would turn out. I've had a few over the years, but they were all grilled not smoked. Not saying they were terrible, but I can take them or leave them. Meat candy is the only words for what came off the pit. I was walking around cleaning things up munching on brats like a creamsicle. I was so involved with the juicy goodness I forgot to take pics of the end product.
