Icotec GEN2 GC500

Anyone have any reviews or opinions on the Icotec GEN2 GC500 caller? Wondering about the clarity and volume? Thanks for any info.

Zeke, I bought one a few months back, so far so good. I like the clarity of sounds and the volume seems to be more than adequate. I Have a FoxPro Scorpion and Fury also a Wildlife Tech. I have been using the ICOtec on a regular basis and take the Scorpion along as backup if needed. I hate to recommend a product as what may work for me may not work for you, but I do like mine.

I bought mine through AMAZON as that was the least expensive place I found them plus free shipping. Hope this helps.

I carry a gun because I'm to young to die and to old to take a ass whipping.

Zeke, did you try out the alpha dogg? The last time we went out, we called in 5 different fox. I only got a shot at one and I freekin missed. They all came in to the wood pecker. I only have a 22 mag so they gotta be 100 yards or closer. I have a 17 hornet on order and it should be in this week. Can't wait..... Best of luck...

I have the Alpha Dogg right now. I have used it 10-15 times and haven't had any success. It makes a clicking/static noise when playing sounds. More obvious with some sounds than others. I thought it was the speaker/s so I plugged and external speaker into it and it still makes the noise and if I can hear it I know the critters can. It must have something to do with the unit itself or the recorded sounds. Either way I don't have much confidence in it. The warranty has expired or I would probably try to return it.

It sounds like something is wrong with it internally. I would try to git a hold of primos and see what they could do. Good luck.....
