Callin greys

Was wonderin, does anyone call different for grey fox verses calling for reds? We are trying to hunt near thickets and more brush. We are using more bird distress than usual. Most times still seeing more reds. Do greys and reds stay in the same areas? Still learnin about the predator huntin game, any input appreciated.....

I’ve killed greys and reds in same fields. Platinum grey fox distress or sterling grey fox distress works the best for me on the fox pro. That actually works great for ethier red or grey. I killed a grey this year with a mouth call. I’ve been using them a lot more to sound different

Get in the woods and set-up on logging roads and trails and you'll up your chances to see greys. Most of time they come hard and into shotgun range when you get them to respond in the woods(at least for me)

Reds are more associated with fields and farmland and greys are more associated with woods habitat. But they both break the rules and can be found on each other's turf.

I started with the Johnny Stewart gray fox pup distress call years ago for greys. Best call ever. Like Hern said, and I have told others, when you turn that call on you better be ready.

From what I understand they’re not allowed to because it’s copy righted by Johnny Stewart
