P.M Sent posts.

Why in the heck does everyone especially in the classifieds have to post p.m.sent? The seller or person you are sending the P.M.to will see the icon flashin right by the My Stuff on the heading. If the mods are wantin to cut back on wastefull posting they need to crack down on the wastefull P.M.SENT.

Re: P.M Sent posts.

Maybe the fact that a good 20% of the time I send a pm, or someone sends me one, it gets lost in space and never shows up. I know I'm not the only one that's had that problem on here. It's better than it used to be, but it still happens.

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Re: P.M Sent posts.

I can see why they take down ads that are marked sold pending funds (SPF), but I feel like if they wanted to save space there are better areas to target.

It's not a huge deal, but just because something is sold pending funds doesn't mean the deal is done. If the deal falls through and the thread is gone, then the seller must take the time to create a new ad. If it's a lengthy description this may take some time. Furthermore, (and I realize most folks won't really care) it is nice to go back and see what certain firearms have recently sold for.

Re: P.M Sent posts.

I don't know how the data is stored but I'd imagine there is a lot of wasted space in the fields that hold the free text meaning posts. Compression would take care of old history data where space is allocated but not used.

It's a good spot. Just not today.
