unable to stay logged in

I recently had an "upgrade" to my system and now I can not stay logged in. When I go the the forum page I have to sign in every time, and as soon as I click on anything I get logged out and have to sign in again. Only on rare occasions do I actually stay logged in long enough to click on a few different topics. What settings should I check on my computer?

Re: unable to stay logged in

At the top of each HPA page are the words "My Stuff". Clicking there will result in a dropdown window. At the bottom of that window is the word "Cookies". Click there and then use the option to "Expire Cookies". You'll have to log back in afterwards, but that usually takes care of the sort of problem you describe.

Re: unable to stay logged in

I too have this problem, but only on my home laptop. My work laptop i'm always logged in. It's even as bad as I log in then view a thread and when I go to use the second thread I'm logged out. I will have to try the cookies option.

That is what happens to me ACE. I tried the expire cookies thing but if I log in and then click my stuff it logs me out, then I sign back in again...once in awhile it lasts long enough for me to respond to a post!

Re: unable to stay logged in

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. All what I did was to remove it from my Fav. box and after I was logged in put it back in under fav.

When you first log in DO NOT check the box to keep you logged in. Make sure that is unchecked. I have the same problem with having to re-log in with every page since I loaded some scripts onto my laptop that enable me to get to some sites for work. Not sure exactely why things are happening the way they are, but I do know that if I check the box to remember me, it doesn't.

Re: unable to stay logged in

Thanks BCoz, makes perfect sense to me now. I probably have something similiar going on with my computer since we are constantly upgrading software at work.

Re: unable to stay logged in

This just started with me today. I have many other websites with un/pw saved and they are all fine. I think it is a problem with the site and hope it is adressed soon.

Re: unable to stay logged in

I had the same problem a couple months ago. I wound up just not checking the "stay logged in box" like Bcoz did, and that worked. Then a few weeks ago, it started keeping me logged in and all is fine. I didn't do anything....it broke itself....then fixed itself??
This only happened on one of my computers. My laptop at home never had that issue.
