Let's See Some Bear Half-Mounts

Getting a half mount of a 300+ pounder and need to pick a pose before the hide comes back from the tannery. Anyone have a good pic to put up? Thanks.

Have your taxidermist show you the books with the poses in them

I looked at all the forms but they look different with the actual bear. Also, position of mouth would be important. Closed, opened, panting, snarling, etc....

I don't really care for open mouth poses, not very pleasing to me!

I kind of like the panting look. The snarls and growls always look fake to me.

Cool mounts. Thanks. The fish is pretty neat. I guess that would be an extra few hundred.

Re: Let's See Some Bear Half-Mounts

I'd have to get a yellow perch, pickerel or pumpkinseed sunfish as those are the only species of fish on the property the bear was shot on. A 10 inch perch wouldn't be so bad.....what, $150 or so?
