Skinning Bears for Lifesize Mounts

What is the preffered method you guys use for lifesize mounts.Doresl cut to base of tail. Does it matter to the tanneries either on any method ? THX TRAPPERDAVE

Yes dorsel cut is best. Less sewing for the taxidermist! At least that's what mine prefers for lifesize mounts.

Tanneries don't care what method is used. I like dorsal incisions for bears that are getting life-sized.Just make sure the incision is down the middle.

Dorsal is my preference as well. I just sewed one up that was open skinned, and that was way too much sewing.

I like mine case skinned, if they are already cut up the belly which most are from gutting, I prefit and alter and them sew them than ill case them, I do all my lifesize case skinned

Be aware that some tanneries charge more for dorsal cuts....
