Mourning dove

Potentially stupid question, but is this something I can get a mount of somewhere in Central PA? My little guy (just tagging along) and I had a great evening tonight and there was one bird he sighted and I happened to make a pretty good shot on and he would like to preserve it as a "great memory" (his words) of that moment. Thanks in advance for any replies!

Re: Mourning dove

Although I can not answer your question I would just like to make the following comment. Congatulations to you and the young guy and I wish for you many more great memories afield. It's a gift for both of you to appreciate the same things so do whatever you can to keep it alive.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Thanks, I will! I didn't know of him, but I know the general area where he is located.

Re: Mourning dove

you're welcome, you WON'T be sorry, you have my word on that. The turn around time will blow you away...he will be talking in weeks, not months! Post pics when you get it back if you would!

Re: Mourning dove

I heard someone dropped off their dove

can't wait to see the final project. more than likely he'll send me pics to put on the site anyway, but post em up when you get it! What kind of turn around time did he give you?

3-4 WEEKS!

After you recommended him, I thought his name sounded familiar. After I saw his photo on the web site, I was pretty sure I had met him. When he saw me last evening, he said the same and I immediately put it together. He used to work for another shop where I frequented and he had done my shoulder mount of an 18 inch wide 8 point in 2003!

Thanks for putting this together for me!
