For the third installment I have a set of four various scoters. This mount was also completed in two stages. First I had the two ducks on the right mounted, a drake surf scoter and a drake common scoter, note the single white feather on the wing of the common scoter. These two were taken in late October 2005. The second two were added in December 2006. A second drake surf scoter, this one with a rare band, which according to my guide he has only seen three times on surf scoters in all his years of guiding for sea ducks. The fourth duck is a mature white wing scoter. I personally love dead duck mounts and knew as soon as I booked my first sea duck hunt that this is how I would have them mounted. My next post will start my African collection.
The next turkey that I get will be in the same dead pose. Just as soon as I get my fall archery buck back should leave me just enough time for a nice fall lone wolf! Nice mounts and lookin' forward to the next post.
There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions.
