couple of mounts

Here are two I finished up recently. The buck is a public land traditional bow kill from this year. Check out the thread about it here.

Next is a nice doe my wife harvested last year. I think sometimes we focus so much on antlers we forget how beautiful an animal a whitetail doe is.

Thanks for looking.

Re: couple of mounts

Good looking mounts. I haven't made it over to my uncles yet to see it in person yet. But you do nice work.

Re: couple of mounts

Mounts look good. One thing I will say to help U out is. Go alittle easy on the amount of fleshtone in your ears. The Does looks alittle to flesh color. love the mounts though. Keeper' up. good luck

Re: couple of mounts

Thanks Stuffer I appreciate the help. I'll tone those ears down next time I have my airbrush out. I didn't notice them till I had the mount outside in the bright sun.

Re: couple of mounts

Babybear, take an old toothbrush and brush the dried paint on the inside of those ears. It will take some of the fleshtone out of them and take the paint off the hair in the ears until you get them where they look good to you. Just a little tip for ya. Love the buck mount...
