Deer Hide Tanning

I found a deer hide in the bottom of my chest freezer that is 2-3 years old. Is it too late to get it tanned hair off? Thanks.

If your taking it directly to the tannery, they will let you know by looking at it.

But as long as it's not a freezer burned mess it should be ok.

I've had skins of mine that have been in the freezer 8-10 yrs and they tanned up with no problems, at least I have them tanned now !
