While he has not done a bear for me, Fedor Taxidermy out in Lehman Twp has done several deer and fish mounts for me. I am very satisfied.

I would also recommend Fedor. I had a rug made in 1999 from him and it still looks great.

Thanks, I think I called him a couple years ago when we were planning this trip originally.

Re: Looking for a taxidermist for bear in Luzerne Co.

Food for thought,,,,,,, You might want to call a few local butchers and get prices and make sure they can cape the bear the way the taxidermist wants it.

I didnt look ahead and get prices and was charged double from a local butcher. It was unseasonably warm and he knew I was between a rock and a hard place. The butcher based his price on 2 things. Refridgeration was one , and the other was his claim that the taxidermists bring field dressed bears to him to cape out and they charge the customer $100 for that service.

It wasnt until a few days later that i learned that another local butcher would have provided the same service for exactly half of what I paid.
