First i want to say i am no Taxidermist and only do it for myself. Well I finally found the time to mount my 9 point I shot in 2009 in Warren County. The hide has been sitting in my freezer for 3+ yrs and the wife wasnt to fond of it. This is the second mount i have done on my own (with a little help from a buddy i work with). I have done (2) Bucks and (1) Pheasant. I bought the mounting kit in the Van Dykes Catalog and added a different form. We started on Monday April 2nd and I completed it Saturday evening April 7th.

I will post pic later of the pheasant and the other buck i mounted. i have to say birds are more difficult to mount. the skin is so thin its very easy to rip, but a deer is alot more physical work (fleshing, stretching).
