Superb! I agree with big28. This is surely art. Of course, a good taxidermist is also an artist, right?

Re: Pedestal Whitetail, Ruffed Grouse

Thanks! He just recently started taking on more birds in to work on. Needless to say he found a new obsession! He took the hands on class at the convention and learned alot. I guess now instead of grooming hair/fur, I will be watching him tweeze and shift feathers! lol

No african stuff this time?

Real nice mounts nonetheless. How did he do with them score wise?

Try as I might, I can't get into birds or fish, or even reptiles, but hand me a weasel or a wolf and I get excited.

Re: Pedestal Whitetail, Ruffed Grouse

The deer was in the master division and got a red, the birds were in the professional division and one got a red and one got a blue. He was happy with that because of the difficulty of grouse. He really enjoyed mounting them. The deer belongs to a friend and he was happy to get "something different" done with it. ;o) Stick with the furry ones, you are great with them.
