Skull whitening

I have a european mount that I did a couple years ago, and I never whitened the skull...it looks all right but a friend of mine had his whitened and i like it a lot better...my question is what would be the best way to whiten it now that its been hung for a while and already on a board. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Skull whitening

If you decide to take it off the board you could bleach it. be careful not to allow the bleach to touch the antlers.

Re: Skull whitening

Don't ever use bleach. You can use the 3% peroxide straight, just immerse the skull for 12 hours or so, and be careful at the antler bases so as to not whiten out the bases.

Re: Skull whitening

I use the 3% stuff, and put it in a spray bottle, and every hour or so, just spray some on the the skull, being careful not to get any on the antlers.
