AFTER:

BEFORE:

RIGHT AFTER (about 5 minutes) PUTTING TANNING AGENT ON:

ANy ideas on what might have caused the tanning agent to not take?

It's called SHOT PLACEMENT not a bigger caliber

I don't know but that is ugly right there.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Re: What went wrong?

Well it might of,, but it's not what i consider an indian style tan...What i consider an indian style tan is a lot more browner looking, not a little brown like that looks.... SO maybe i should restate my question

Is this what it should look like?

It's called SHOT PLACEMENT not a bigger caliber

Re: What went wrong?

I just did a bear skin with the same stuff. It will look better after it has dried for a couple weeks.

Yup. Now after the hide is dry and worked soft, you can opt to smoke it.
