Black Forest boar tusks
I put this on the taxidermy.net site but I'll try here too. I have tusks from a boar I took in Austria. I'd like to mount them with a traditional black forest theme. I was wondering if anyone has or knows a US supplier for the metal oak leaves to cover the tusk ends. You see them this way all over europe and I've found a couple available in the UK and Germany but I'd rather find them in the US. I have the below backing plate (actually a towel rack) and I'll remove the fabric and cut and fit the flat walnut from the other piece in its place, although I don't think the fabric looks bad either.
So here is what I have and below it are some samples. My 1st choice is the 3 leaf silver with acorns, upper left, not too keen on the single gold leaf but if I can't get the silver I'll take it.
