Porcupine Mount?

Got myself a very nice sized porcupine. Brought it home to show the wife and son. My wife thought it was the coolest thing she had ever seen, wants me to get it mounted. Can't find a taxidermist that will do it. Does anybody know of one. I will travel if needed.

Re: Porcupine Mount?

about 40 years ago a NYS Conservation Dept. Biologist was having a long drawn out fight with adirondack sportsmen about deer management. Polite, but acrimonious. The sportsmen were told that he was having problems with hard seats, so they kindly had a porcupine skinned, tanned and stuffed as a pillow. He kept it for years.

Re: Porcupine Mount?

I just mounted a porcupine. It was rather easy which means I did it right or totally wrong. you should try it.

I thought of buying a childs basket ball and wrap the hide around it so it was one spiking ball but my wife said I have issues.
