Mount suggestions

Shot a nice 10 point on Saturday (my first buck with a bow) and have decided to get him mounted. He weighed 160 lbs dressed and had a massive neck and shoulders on him.

What pose do you think I should get? I already have two turned to the right, one with ears alert and the other with ears back. I was thinking a semi sneak or full sneak because he was chasing a doe when I shot him. Here are the pics, tell me what you guys think.

Re: Mount suggestions

i'd go with a semi sneak with an offset shoulder. makes them look bigger if they were a decent sized deer to begin with. I like the looks of the new mckenzie 6900 series forms, but i'm not a taxidermist. ask your taxi what he would suggest. check out taxidermy.net forums for plenty of ideas.

Iím a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

LOL That is exactly what I was goin to suggest. I am getting mine done in the 6900 series. It is the cover deer on this years mckenzie catalog. I think it looks great and hope it looks good on the wall. I thiknk the extra soulder look is pretty nice.

Re: Mount suggestions

I am a big fan of the action sneak or curious alert, two of my most popular choices from my clients

Re: Mount suggestions

Thanks guys. I decided to go with the McKenzie 4600 series full sneak. He was trailing a doe when I shot him and that is how I will always him. I think he will look great in between my other two bucks. I will post pics of him when he is finished.
