Dave Dillon at Acme Taxidermy. He just finshed an elk for someone else. I saw it when I was up at his shop, it looked great. Check out his web site.

If you don't mind driving up 79 to Erie, Lew Kunkel does great work. His whitetail mounts are unmatched and I have seen several elk that he has done and they were superb. PM me if you would like his info.

You're dating yourself now Trask...LOL. I worked for Lew for 13 years before going on my own. After his heart attack several years ago he all but quit taxidermy. He still does a few deer but big jobs like elk are out of the question.

Re: looking to have an elk mount done

thanks for all the info guys. I decided on a taxidermist that was recommended here. I went to look at an elk he was working on and I must say I was impressed. My friends out west have 6 elk mounts between all of them and I would say his work is just as good as most and better than a few.

Thanks again
