snake skin tanning...............

what do you guys use to tan a snake skin ? I have an older snake a cal kingsnake that I want to save the skin once gone.

exocet w/STS, ground pounder
boo string and trigger
2117 w/ blazer vanes and brass inserts

I skinned them, fleshed them lightly with the edge of a spoon ( there’s not much to flesh ). I rubbed them up good with 20 Mule Train borax, dried them, wiped of borax. Oiled with Neatsfoot Oil.
