Caribou cape.

I just got back from a trip to Alaska and have the cape from the caribou I shot. It is a nice white mane.(Mostly white but not totally.) Ears are turned on it. Great condition. It was salted very quickly and is currently in my freezer. I don't think I'm gonna get the mount done. Was wondering if anyone was looking for a 'bou cape. I'd like to get $75 out of it.

Re: Caribou cape.

Paul C, I know your response wasn't directed to question whether I shot it legally. But to anyone who wants proof, I have my used tag and harvest ticket to prove the legality. It has also been reported to the AK Dept of Fish and Game as a legal harvest. FWIW. I should have known the internet police would jump on this. Does anyone want to check to make sure I regularly file income tax returns also???

Re: Caribou cape.

Well he didn't take it in PA, no wild caribou in PA LOL. I think that in AK, there is some rule about selling certain pelts/parts of AK taken animals, but that's if you are wanting to sell it in AK, not in PA.

Re: Caribou cape.

do you still have the cape? go to taxidermy.net and list it in the for sale section. It will go quickly.

Re: Caribou cape.

Thanks deergrunt. For the legality question posed before. I called the PGC SW office today and they said there is not problem with this.
