Taxidermy in 5C area recommendations?

Hi,

Anyone have a recommendation for a taxidermist in 5C? I just got back from my first gator hunt and I'm looking to get a skull mount.

I called a few places, but no one has gotten back to me yet. I did talk to Michael Zander in Green Lane this morning.

I wanted to know who you would use for a skull mount? I am in Pottstown and I'm willing to drive/ship as this will be my first skull mount.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ETA: Does $175 sound like it's in the ballpark for a skull mount using beetles? I know that price does not always equals quality. I just want to make sure I'm not overpaying.

$175. does not seem out of line. I paid a lot more than that to have my Bison skull beetle cleaned and whitened and mounted on some nice wood.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Mike Zander does all my work.
He did a great job on a European mount of my 8 pt from last season and had the hide buck tanned...
His prices seem very reasonable to me.

I'm goin to go with Euroskullmount.com as I talked to Gabe and Mike Zander. Gabe seems to be a lot more flexible to get hide to him and he has experience doing gator skulls. Gabe is away next two weeks on a hunt, but I'll get in touch with him once he comes back. I'm not sure if I'll have the skull dipped. I think I'll see how the skull turns out...if the skull has some grease spots or the color is off, than I'll have it dipped.

Mike Zander made it difficult for me to bring him my gator head and he's never done a gator. His price was a little less than Gabe's price, but I liked how Gabe described his process for cleaning my gator head.
