Last year on Easter Sunday I had flow out to El Paso to hunt for Gemsbuck. The next day we would meet up with a wildlife biologist go through an orientation and then go on a one day hunt. The last hour of the hunt I spotted this unique bull gemsbuck and my brother made a great shot on him. This guy had battle scars all over him.
I'm not sure what part of the range we hunted on. I know we covered alot of area throughout the day. Before this hunt I didn't know that they get goofy horned. The only pictures or videos of gemsbuck I had seen where all normal horned. My brother two years before this hunt also killed a big cow. Her horns are much longer than this bull's. I did get some of the meat and it was really good. I'm headed to South Africa in 4 weeks so I think I may have to add a gemsbuck to my package. Take care!
