Camo-dipped Skulls

I was at a local archery shop and had a bear skull that was whitened then dipped in camo. Does anyone have a resource to get skulls done like this? Any idea of what it would cost?

Thanks for everything,

Snapper

Re: Camo-dipped Skulls

The camo dipped skulls are unique way to display your tropies.
There is a guy in Altoona who can do the dipping.
I have pieces that come thru my shop or you can goto him directly...
Prices are variable depending upon prep work, skull repair, base coat put on the skull if needed, prep teeth to keep them white, then dip.
So he and I dont generally quote price till the piece is in our hands, anywhere $75-$100 good estimate on a bear.

Re: Camo-dipped Skulls

The taxidermist who did the skull was Joe Simmons, jstaxidermy.com I have never personally used him, but is a cool idea. I sent him an email this morning to see what it cost. Iím assuming he ships them out and has them dipped. I already have the skulls, I would not mind having one done up like that for something different if it is reasonable. If I can locate a company that will just dip the skull that may save me some money.

Re: Camo-dipped Skulls

I had a deer skull done in camo dipping, came out great.
Even my non hunter friends really like it.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!

Re: Camo-dipped Skulls

Lots of places online. Take a look around, prob wouldn't be too much to ship priority flat rate. I would go with Tarjac.com. They do a nice job with dipping anything. A bear skull dipped in Realtree AP Snow looks awesome
