Taxidermist Called!

Just got a call from the taxidermist, grey fox pedastal is ready! I'm so nervous about this one! I wasn't sure when I dropped it off how such a small critter would look mounted as a pedestal, but she insisted that I would love it with the promise that if I didn't it would make a great display for her shop.

She says it looks awesome! So, I'm a bit nervous, but I'll have to share a picture with you all soon.

Re: Taxidermist Called!

Well, I went to pick it up tonight...and... forgot my credit card!! I had a "DOH!" moment! Taxidermist wasn't upset, she gets to display it a little while longer!

All I can say is I really like it, it turned out great and is very unique. I was so nervous about the unique mount concept, but my .223 was not friendly with the rest of the fur so it was a great "save." Now I feel like I need a red to match it, but I don't know if I could "waste" half of a red that doesn't have fur damage, lol.

I took pictures with my cell phone, but they don't do it justice, so I might hold out on posting pics until I get back over there to bring it home!

Re: Taxidermist Called!

It's a pedestal mounted on a deer antler with the tail attached to wrap around/through the antler...just in case anyone was wondering.

Okay you have teased us long enough! Where are the pics at!

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions.
