Relacing velvet on a rack ???

Can a set of antlers that were in the velvet stage when the deer died, have the velvet replaced? A friend gave me a large set of antlers with skull plate attached and the velvet in very ruff shape.

Re: Relacing velvet on a rack ???

is the bone hard underneath? if so artificial velvet can be applied, but the real velvet will need to be removed

I think they make some kind of spray on velvet?

(I'm not a taxi so I don't know for sure, but I thought I saw it at an outdoor show)

And it looks exactly like you think it would! LOL.

Like Joe said.....if the antler is hard under the velvet it can be fixed. If not its a lost cause as there is simply too much undeveloped tissue and blood in there.
