Bear Taxidermist

Going on a Maine bear hunt this fall and I am looking for a taxidermist in the NW PA area if I am lucky enough to get one. I don't mind driving around an hour or so away for something better. My usual taxidermist has retired. Please let me know your experiences good or bad and feel free to include pictures of any type of bear mount for ideas as I have not settled on one yet. I am not overly concerned with price as I want something I will be proud to show off and most of the time you get what you pay for with mounts.

Thanks in advance

McCalls in Economy Boro. You'll be driving south at least an hour though. He's an 85 year old artist when it comes to taxiderrmy.

I see said the Blind Carpenter to his Deaf Helper as he picked up his Hammer and Saw!

Where are you going in Maine? There's some exceptional taxidermists up there that specialize in bear mounts. My friends and I have had a few done up there and shipped home which turned out great.

Unfortunately I have never hunted in the area they operate in. If you ever head a little farther north, check out Top of the World Taxidermy in Benedicta. Ray does some great bear mounts.

We had a bear done by Dave Sorber and it looks great. But, not sure how NW the OP is.
