Bear shoulder mount question

Curious about ballpark costs for a bear shoulder vs half body mount. Thanks in advance.

2013 harvest. 2014 taxi - $1200 for the mount, skull clean and bleach, and removed claws for me - plus a tee shirt.

Awesome top notch work. About 6 months to get it back.

i think it will really vary upon your taxidermist, I think my dad's full body mount was around $1500 and the guy did an wonderful job. it took over a year but it's a 1 man show I believe the guy even does his own tanning but was worth the wait. I would imagine a 1/2 would be close to the same since I think most of the detail/time is going to be in the face

Thank you for the info guys. I have one full mount, it cost around 1400. I was looking for cheaper options this year around if I got so lucky. I love the look of rugs also, but those aren't much cheaper. I also even thought about just having it tanned. Not as sure about the cost there. I will chat with my taxidermist.

Beautiful mounts by the way.

case skin it, have it tanned, that way you can wear it to scare the be-je-bees out of the kids.

I paid $1100 for a half life size. The last one I had mounted I had it done on a wall pedestal form. I really like it compared to the traditional shoulder mount.

Iím a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.
