just curious and I am sure I could google this info but if you catch a fish you want skin mounted what steps do you take to ensure a nice finished product like this. Thanks

I tell folks to simply place the ungutted fish in a plastic bag and roll it to get the air out. Tape closed and freeze.

Been told to carry a little bit of Borax with and to coat up the fish when caught as it helps preserve the color. other than that, I wrap in a wet towel and get on ice asap. If I can I vacuum seal at home and then freeze.
