Whitetail shoulder form!

I have exhausted what I feel is about every shoulder mount that they make(being facetious). I am looking for something different for this year. I have one buck mount picked out already but have another buck that the taxidermist is waiting on me for and I just don't know what to pick.

I know there are many threads but I would love to see any and all pictures and if you could give me the form model # that would be greatly appreciated to.

Thanks folks!

Re: Whitetail shoulder form!

You may want to request a Wasco or Van Dykes cataloge and just look through it. I see in Wasco they have a few cool mounts, one is a corner mount that fits in the corner of the room, i see it requires a little bit of the back hide, not sure if your taxi trimmed the hide down yet. Saw another with a turn up right with a open mouth like they are eating off a tree, I would think it would be modified like he was licking his shoulder. Also there is a turn around where the deer is looking over the shoulder

Re: Whitetail shoulder form!

You could even do a regular shoulder mount and dress it up with a habitat addition

Re: Whitetail shoulder form!

Here's a partial custom idea. I wanted a different mount as well that nobody else had and always like the idea of a deer coming down the trail and stopping in front of me as he catches a whiff of a doe. He looks back over his shoulder and does a lip curl to try and pick up her scent. To make this one I went to my taxidermist and we cut the head off a form and positioned it and customized it to the precise direction and angle I wanted. He then used a lip curl mouth piece. I also like how it shows a different angle than normal on the antlers.
