How long is a frozen hide good for

The taxidermist I usually use has had a grey fox of mine for over 3 years and a friends coyote around 4...I believe they were wet tanned the last I spoke to him. I'm having trouble asking for them back to take somewhere else because I've known the guy my whole life and he is a friend of mine. He came down with some health problems and I haven't heard from him for quite awhile. He has done numerous mounts for me and none ever took more than 10 months. I feel bad even asking for them back but after that long are they still alright to mount?

They will be fine as long as the tan was good and have been frozen, I just took one of my wet tan skins out of the freezer that has been in for 10 yre, just needed a little water on the dry spots!
