Coyote ?

Got my first coyote on saturday while out for bear, real nice fur. Told my mom I would get my first good looking one mounted for her, so my question is what is the normal/average price for a full mount? for just getting the hide tanned?

thanks!!

Re: Coyote ?

a full mount... probably $500

you can tan a hide yourself, its not hard

What I say might not be the popular trend but at least Im not afraid to speak my mind!

Re: Coyote ?

Mine start at 600.00. They are ALOT of work, not at all a "fox in minuature". Much more time spent than doing a deer sh mt. Hides are fully tanned, usually I do them in-shop, as I have alot of experience in tanning K9's. Even with that, I am very picky. They DO need degreased, as do foxes also. My tanned coyotes also don't smell like coyotes when done LOL.

Eastern coyotes- so many are really big that the amount of forms available dwindles, thus making alterations more likely to be made. Both in girth and length, and also the necks and heads.

I paid more for shoulder mounts on all my bucks! I hope the work is good.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions.
