Did anyone ever use USA FOXX & Furs, 29 W Superior St., Duluth, MN ???

I'm going to send then a coon to tan to test them out. They flesh and tan for a reasonable price.

Re: Tannery?

You need to flesh it before sending it...especially a coon with all its fat. To send a hide to a tannery you gotta ship it...to ship, it needs to be dried...I flesh em then salt em for 2-3 days till they are dry and then send them out...

Not fleshing them will likely cause them to rot and hair slippage....salting fat will do no good either...will cause fat burns and hair will still likely slip...

Fleshing isn't difficult and for a tannery, so long as you don't cut holes and get the fat and flesh off and saltt and dry it good, it'll turn out fine as they typically trim the hide as thin as possible before tanning anyways...
