Fished with an old friend today. 20-30 years ago we use to hit the bay every chance we could and we reminisced about a lot of those old trips. The fishing in the DE bay has definitely fell on some hard times compared to years past but we had a really nice day today and landed 10 species of fish. The highlight for me was a big fat 17" trigger fish. I have never caught one anywhere but Florida. Grilled that baby tonight and it was delicious. I also got a nice 20"flounder and 16" weakfish. The 10 species of fish landed were flounder, trigger fish, bluefish, weakfish, croaker, porgy, oyster cracker, sea robbin, puffer fish, and snagged bunker.
Great day there Whaler!! Quite a variety for sure!! Oh...those ole oyster crackers & robins...been a while since I caught any of them. Think there last when I used to fish out of Massey's Landing.
