need new snow gators

I like the Cabela's gore-tex ultimate gators

except for the nylon webbing that goes under the instep of your boot. It picks up wet snow and you end up walking on a snow ball , which you continuously need to remove. Anyone know of something similar that doesn't do this.

The way that you wander is the way that you choose,
The day that you tarry is the day that you lose.
Sunshine or thunder, a man will always wonder.
Where the fair wind blows.

Re: need new snow gators

I have a pair of REI gators, the strap that goes under your foot is non absorbent. It looks like webbing dipped in rubber (like some dog collars), and does not pick up snow. They are black and I use them in rifle season to keep snow out of my boots and the bottom of my wool pants from getting wet.
