Re: kayak

i got a "sit on top " Ocean Kayak Malibu 2XL fishing model. So far used in lakes & back bays. Great fishing platform. Self bailing and very stable.

Re: kayak

Many of the ones I see being used for back bay and ocean front fishing are the sit in style. They are becoming more popular each season. We have been in several Fluke tournaments where they actually have a separate category for kayaks.

I have never used one for fishing but I think a sit-in would have more storage for gear and be a little more stable in wave action.

Sit in....sit on.....does not matter as long as you get out fishing

Re: kayak

My son bought the new Wilderness model. It is a sit in but you can sit up on the rear deck for fishing. This is especially good for fly fishing.

Go over to BassBarn.Com and look at the Kayak section. Those guys have a lot of experience.

BC. don't tell me your looking for a kayak, my son just sold his old one 2 days ago and bought another one. Should have mentioned it at work.

They're both sit in's.
