Laserlyte lasers

I am thinking of getting a rail mounted laserlyte laser for my handgun. Anybody have one? What do you like or don't like about it? Anybody heard anything about them from others?

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

Have no experience but it might make finding a holster for that gun harder, JMO.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

I found that the crimson trace version was better.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

I have to, but crimson trace doesn't make a laser for my gun.

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

The problem with rail mount lasers is if the battery goes dead you can't access your regular sights if you need them.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

Depends on where the rail is. Some (mostly polymer) pistols are now coming with a "mini-rail" under the slide, so the little laser doesn't block the issue sights.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

I've never seen a rail mounted laser affect the stock sights? Then again I enjoy plastic pistols, LOL.

Re: Laserlyte lasers

They do if the rail is up top and the add-on laser blocks the factory irons...or in this case, the factory plastic.
