I like my old Motorola Talk Abouts, hard to find anymore.

I bought a Garmin GPS a couple of years ago, it has a very good radio, might be more than what you are looking to spend though.

Simple to use and not a lot of garbage features and you didn't need a manual on you to operate.

I had Midlands, great radios, but complicated. Went back to Motorolas and am happier. But all these uneeded features really get me...uh..... upset? LOL

My grandfather has a [censored] of a time using the new Midlands we have as well, whenever he gets on the radio he always manages to send some crazy beeping sounds along with his message. The old school Talk Abouts are designated for the older guys in our crew.

Talk about 250...still working after all those years!

I went to Radio Shack and purchased a earphone like the one I had a a kid w/ a transitor radio. It allows me to keep the volume real low and nobody can hear anything; those anoying 'Roger Beeps', etc. stay in the earphone and don;t scare the deer.

4th Generation @ Kamp.

3D - There are STILL a few deer left! You need to pry them out of the developments!
