Truck Tents - Good or Bad?

Been looking at the numerous models of truck bed tents available.

Anyone have one? Has anyone used them?

How do they stand up? Worth the money and are they as great as they are made out to be?

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Re: Truck Tents - Good or Bad?

I have ablue and yellow nylon Adventure I tent that i had for 6years. Much cheaper when i got it then. Very well engineered can leave 2 end windows half open ina downpour for venting, 3 fiberglass poles form a bow side to side and 2 poles form a bow overhang for the fly. very windproof, mesh pockets for loose stuff a few loops for hanging. This one has no floor which I like others have a floor that just bunches up inside and you can't utilize full truck floor. The tailgate is down so you get an extra 2ft of space, a small step stool is a must. I can set it up myself in less than 15 minutes. Cabelas sells a few different ones but i am picky and glad i got this one. Always a few looky sees at the camps and music fest i go to.
