Leupold Ballistics Reticle

Looking for any insight about the Leupold rifleman ballistics reticle. Goods/Bads/hands on exp/etc.

I am crossed between the Nikonw/BDC and the Leupoldw/RBR.
I own both leupold and nikon scopes but not w/ multi reticles
Thanks for your advice

Re: Leupold Ballistics Reticle

I cant comment on the Leupold system, but I know that the Burris system (ballistic plex) works very well. I was very skeptical at first, and I didnt particularly want a scope with that type of reticle, but the scope I wanted only came with the ballistic plex, and I got it, and I love it now......I put it on a 300 WBY, sighted in dead on at 200 with the center reticle, and the tick marks go out to 600 then..........at 600 yards I was about 5 or 6 inches low with the reticle system........I suspect that the Nikon, and the Leupold would work on the same level, however I can say that I think the Burris system is a little less distracting as far as the view.....

Re: Leupold Ballistics Reticle

Well I broke down yesterday and got the Leupold w/ the RBR, It seems to be the same idea as the Nikon BDC so I'll see as soon as I get'er mounted, bored, (hopefully tonight I'll have time), and then to the range over the weekend.....if it stops raining.
