The Heater Bodysuit - Any opinions?

Hey all. I'm headed to KS to hunt whitetails late this year and was considering purchasing one of these to use. I was told to expect very windy and cold conditions. Anyone have one and have anything good, bad or indifferent to say about it? I appreciate any feedback. THANKS

Re: The Heater Bodysuit - Any opinions?

Never used one, but years ago I made sonething very similar from a Slumberjack sleeping bag. It does not have the seperate feet, and I had a velcro closed arm hole sewn in the left side and used the zipper and a velcro strap on the right side. When its is subzero, thats what I go with. I take my boots off b4 I get into it. Soemwhat cumbersome but very toasty. I had the extra sleeping bag, so the cost was about $10 to put the arm hole in and to add the velcro. If you are like me, its almost instant nap time when I get into it. I also put a toe heater into each of my boots when they are sitting next to the stand. Nice and toasty when you put your boots back on.

I have a few friends that hunt with them. They have nothing but good to say about them. They hunted sub-zero in Sask. with them.

Drop the $300 and buy the heater. Worth every penny. Making one similiar may be cheaper, but I can guarantee it isn't as quiet or packable than this thing. It really is a must have for those single digit days. I'll wear it when it is in the 30's during bow season. Allows me to liteally wear just a tee and sweatshirt and be beyond warm.

Good info guys! Any issue while hunting with a gun? Is it best to hang it on a bow hanger? Again, any advice is appreciated. THANKS
